Wood Pulp - Lenpur
Lenpur is a novel textile fibre from a renewable resource: cellulose carefully selected from the branches of special trees.

The remarkable properties of wood provide textile materials made from Lenpur with extraordinary properties. The fibres retain the wood's natural properties. The characteristics of Lenpur (US Patent 005599784) are owed to the specific types of timber used for its production, independent of the process used for its manufacture. The main differences in Lenpur compared to other cellulose fibres is its softness, its absorption capacity, its ability to release dampness (as a yarn or fabric), its deodorant properties, and its adsorption characteristics (due to its morphology). When mixed with other fibres, Lenpur is in "mechanical synergy" with them.

Lenpur is very similar to rayon and may feel like silk or cashmere. The material is often blended with other fabrics such as cotton, spandex and Lycra.

Characteristics:
• Pill resistant
• Color fast
• Shrink resistant
• Thermal regulating
• Fade resistant

Performance Features:
• Antimicrobial
• U.V. resistant

Pro: The fabric is highly resistant to hard-water deposits (lime), helping it retain its softness after repeated washings.
Con: Like cotton, it often requires ironing after each washing like cotton.

Modal Fiber is a processed bio-based textile made from reconstituted cellulose made from the beech tree. It too is very soft and popular for both clothing and household items.

Modal is considered a type of rayon that is soft, smooth, cool to the touch, very absorbent and breathes well.

Model resists shrinkage which is an advantage over cotton. It is less likely to fade or form pills as a result of friction.

Modal is smooth, comfortable, drapes well, and keeps its shape when wet
